Creed: What Christians Believe and Why

Starting Sunday, February 25, a discussion group will meet at Wesley UMC (corner of Oswell and Niles) at 12:15 P.M. to explore what Christians believe and why it matters in a six-week group study. We'll use Adam Hamilton's book "Creed: What Christians Believe and Why" and short videos to introduce the topic and jumpstart our discussions. Each session will be an hour long, so bring a brown bag lunch and join us for this engaging study. All are welcome, members and non-members alike!

Here's some more information about Hamilton's book "Creed".

We’re all searching. Sometimes the search is easy: simply type a question and the answer pops up. But sometimes our questions are complicated, and the answers are difficult to see and harder to articulate. How do we discover and examine the truths that give meaning and purpose to life? Adam Hamilton believes that some powerful answers are contained in the Apostles’ Creed, an early statement of foundational Christian beliefs.

In "Creed", Hamilton considers important questions of life, reality, and truth. He explores not only what Christians believe, but also why they believe it and why it matters.

Chapters include:

  1. God (select the link to view the first video of the series---about 15 min long)
